Prominent architect Rob Mills is set to design and deliver a luxury apartment project end-to-end, with the launch of new Armadale residences, Hampden by RMA. Leading the industry in a move away from the standard design and construct model, Hampden by RMA will see Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors (RMA) manage the entire project – from initial design through to construction, purchaser engagement and the customisation of interiors.
Located in the heart of Armadale, a suburb which the architect calls home, Hampden by RMA will comprise nine large-scale three-bedroom apartments which will be designed directly with the purchasers themselves. “I want to be able to bring the same level of care to the design and delivery of apartments as I do for private residences, and Hampden allows me to do that,” says Mills.
“We have always been a holistic practice, with architecture and interior design under one roof. With our unique in-house procurement and project management, we are able to cradle our clients’ vision and maintain design integrity throughout construction.”
Reflecting RMA’s commitment to collaboration, purchasers will be invited to meet with Mills and his award-winning interior design team throughout the project.“We’re interested in our clients’ lives and therefore we’re inviting purchasers to commission myself and my team to handcraft their new apartment. We take the time to listen, because then we can create something together which is truly reflective of them. We want to immerse purchasers in the complete RMA experience,” says Mills.
The new project will bear all the hallmarks of RMA – intelligent design, healthy materials, crafted textures, enduring value and an intrinsic connection to its location.
The residences will incorporate a handcrafted brick façade, expansive interiors, and signature arched windows to welcome natural light within. In addition to a 7-star NatHERS energy rating and best-practice wellness principals, RMA will manage all aspects of the project in-house to guarantee design delivery from start to finish.
“Delivering these apartments by a traditional procurement process cradles the design and the quality of the building. We take pride in the fact that our renders always match our final product,” Mills adds.
Through this new project, Hampden by RMA, the architects will deliver apartments of an exceptionally high standard, overseeing every part of the process from first sketch to final handover.
