The existing residential building from the nineties has always been a special eye-catcher that stands out due to the variety of materials, colors and shapes. The client now wanted a complete facelift for his property so that he and his wife could enjoy the next few years with the latest technology and a new attitude to life. With a lot of respect for the existing structure and courage to make changes, Cornelia Kollmann ventured into the project, hollowed it out, completed it with an additional underground car park and also gave the facade a contemporary touch.
Due to the extreme variety of shapes and design elements, the rooms looked relatively restless and no longer corresponded to the spirit of the times. Skillful interventions, such as the closing of individual areas, the creation of new visual relationships and the sensible new composition of the rooms, created a completely new sense of space that fully corresponds to the owners and their way of life. The new fresh wind and the important relationship with the environment also brought with it the creation of a terrace on the upper floor, connecting the in-and outside of the building.
The focus was on responding to the needs of the builders in practical and design terms and creating an appropriate, sophisticated lighting concept.The clients trust in Kollmann was more than fulfilled when the designer set up the spacious rooms. Using different materials, such as wood, leather, carpet, ceramic and stone, mirrors and the creation of new proportions, she achieved the perfect staging of a very individual philosophy of life. Both places, retreat and areas of representation are planned in great detail and crafted with the highest perfection and quality.
A breath of Hollywood blows through the building when you step up from the boutique-like dressbox into the impressive living room with mirrored fireplace and open kitchen with back office area, up into the private rooms with wellness bath, sauna and the various dressing rooms.
What is special here seems to be self-evident and becomes one with the life and demands of the cosmopolitan builders.In the summer, the luxurious outdoor area was completed, which finally rounds off the idea of the overall concept.
