The Henri Matisse public school in Bonnemain is composed of a historic building renovated and extended in 2004–2005, hosting both kindergarten and elementary programs, with a modular canteen added in 2012.
Due to demographic growth, the existing facilities have reached their limits: lack of space, thermal discomfort, functional inefficiencies, undersized sanitary areas, and the temporary nature of the canteen. Covered outdoor spaces are also insufficient.
The project addresses these issues through:
> the extension of the kindergarten cluster,
> the creation of a motor skills room,
> the refurbishment and extension of the elementary facilities,
> the addition of new covered playgrounds,
> and the permanent relocation of the canteen.
The intervention aims to improve comfort, functionality, and overall architectural quality, while ensuring long-term adaptability of the school complex.
