Hostel Lisboa

Hostel Rodamón Lisboa

Mireia Masdeu Studio as Architects

The Hostel Rodamón Lisboa is designed on a former textile factory in the center of Lisbon of which have been preserved its characteristic stone arches, which give a lot of personality to the first floor. Conceptually we wanted to capture with different materials, the eclectic city that is today using the typical Portuguese ceramics of the facades, but creating a completely contemporary interior.

We created an environment where more ornamental elements such as stamped ceramics and golden lamps are combined with more natural materials such as pine wood, wicker or vegetation, all combined with more industrial furniture with an iron structure, always keeping in mind the Rodamón brand image used in other Hostels of the chain.

The total protagonist of the first floor is the Portuguese stamped ceramic, which adorns the pavement and the front walls of the reception, the living room and the back of the different furniture. On the upper floors, where the rooms are located, the ceramic tiling is replaced by wallpaper, always following the same thread.
