The reconstruction includes the renovation of the hotel rooms, corridors and library. The rooms were covered with new materials and the bathrooms were replaced. All rooms received a new interior with furniture specifically designed for this project. Due to the minimal room size, fixed installations were avoided. The new furniture made of Okume plywood stands on a filigree steel skeleton, which makes it appear light. The furniture can be individually moved. The small hotel rooms should appear more spacious and the new material composition creates a calm room atmosphere. The aim of the project was to enable a high-quality interior despite a limited budget. For this purpose, industrial materials were used in a refined way. The walls were covered with a renovation plaster and repainted. The neutral grey tones on the walls and textiles stay in the background so they leave room for the Okume furniture to unfold. In order to upgrade the small sizebathrooms, new showers were installed as generously as possible. The furniture series extends with the washbasin substructure into the bathroom. The new steel lights are varnished with a transparent lacquer as the furniture.
