On Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona, the Hotel Vincci Mae has 85 rooms, 3 of which are suites. East establishment offers its clients a bar and restaurant service, both with direct access to two terraces from the that you can contemplate unbeatable views of the city. The terrace of the bar has a plunge pool, an area with hammocks and an area where you can taste tapas and cocktails. The restaurant opens onto a large terrace for enjoy lunch and dinner a la carte outdoors. To obtain that the guests are in an environment warm and welcoming, I designed this project as if it would be a particular house of large dimensions. Jaime said.
Beriestain has fled the traditional codes when decorating the reception of the hotel, creating a new space with high ceilings, flanked by a vegetable wall in the entrance that reinterprets the classic Zaguán. Also, a reinterpretation of the traditional French paving cabochon in black and white, and a large screen with painted mirrors by hand in a range of shades of gold, green and ocher, recreate the entrance to this hotel. The interior designer has opted for the red color as a common thread for represent this accommodation.
It is a recognizable tonality, which found between a red Cantonese and a terracotta, which gives it character and a vintage touch to the interior of the hotel. It is a deep, sophisticated color and delicate time that accompanies the guest in all rooms. The forms geometric are another element used as a wall covering, floors and ceilings, and is present in materials as diverse as marble, carpet or boiserie. For this meticulous work, Beriestain has counted one once again with the skilled work of specialized craftsmen. With this kind of finished, Beriestain aims to get away from the cold and impersonal environment of public places and turn it into a warm space with personality.
The presence of shelves with books and the warmth of the range of colors of each room, make the guest is in a cozy atmosphere. Also in the bathrooms, Beriestain wanted to recreate a warm and comfortable that has been achieved thanks to the use of marble in tone clayey and aged brass fittings. The touch of exclusivity of the rooms is achieved thanks to the paper painted on the walls, the work of a painter and produced in a exclusive for this project. No less important is the careful lighting with sconces to get an intimate atmosphere in each room.
