House in Trofa

dp arquitectos as Architects

The house is located on a generous plot of land in proximity to a future metro station. It intends to guarantee privacy with a simple ground floor volumetry. A program with easy internal circulation, using contemporary materials and construction techniques, is organized in a square plan with a central heart courtyard and small individual dedicated courtyards.

Generous social, sleeping and service areas, are accessed by the perimetric internal circulation, integrated into each space it crosses, increasing its dimension. With the exception of the bedrooms and bathrooms, all spaces are visible from various angles along this path through the house.

The internal materiality lives around the contrast of a dark wood sophistication and the simplicity of the white painted stucco. The main patio has a vibrant cobalt color glazed tile. Comfort and serenity in the spaces and patios, proximity in the visual threads are achieved in this house for a family.

In architecture, most of times, the place shows us the way.
