The intervention on this house revolves around two main objectives: bringing more natural light into the living spaces and improving the home’s thermal performance. A prior declaration allowed the widening of existing openings and the creation of a new one, in order to bring additional light into the main living area. The exterior wood- ber insulation,  - nished with a lime render, enhances thermal performance while blending discreetly into the existing structure. The roof was also fully renovated, incorporating a sarking system — 26 cm of wood- ber insulation — and a new zinc covering.

Inside, the project is based on an economy of means that becomes an architectural language. The clay brick walls are left exposed, allowing the house to “breathe,” while beech plywood panels line the surfaces, reducing the number of materials used and therefore the carbon footprint of the construction. The use of thermal curtains on the southwest façade completes the system, ensuring summer comfort.
