In large educational spaces – wayfinding and zoning improve efficiency, helping users effortlessly transition from one room to another. In this situation, the choice of flooring can have a significant impact on how visitors, students, and staff experience environments with education floors. The use of shapes and colours also adds to the experience – lending energy and vibrancy. Keeping this in mind, Borg Architects chose to work with our flexible Shift carpet tiles from the Pixel collection in conjunction with Signature’s Shapes collection.

The idea was to create a cohesive look and connect individual spaces, while ensuring each space also appeared distinct. Borg chose from a palette of 30 stocked colours in Shift and 10 modular shapes to create a revamped look throughout the IDP Lonsdale centre.

Seen here: Casual waiting and meeting spaces for both staff and students.
