Imperial Hotel, a four-star hotel located in the heart of Copenhagen, appointed Interiør Gruppen to help design an atmospheric lounge, a place where visitors could retreat from the main reception area. Their interior solution included two black room dividers with magazine shelves and alternately open and closed sections, allowing for privacy within the otherwise open-plan space.
The building was built by the modernistic Danish architect Otto Frankild – and was finished in 1961. The common areas are inspired by Asian minimalism with a modernistic twist.
