Located in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood of São Paulo, Apartamento Jesuíno, designed by the firm Pro.a Arquitetos, blends the privacy and warmth of a home with the sophistication and refined finishes typically found in boutique hotels.
In collaboration with the client, who is also an architect, the team curated prêt-à-porter furniture pieces from the brand Estúdio Bola to furnish the 50m² apartment, creating visual continuity between spaces—even within a segmented floor plan.
One of the project’s highlights is the sucupira wood millwork that covers the main living room wall and extends into the hallway closet leading to the bedroom. This L-shaped design brings a sense of linearity to the layout, meeting diverse storage needs while introducing an elegant contrast between natural elements such as the Concresteel cement flooring and the exposed concrete ceiling.
This same millwork continues into the bedroom, where every detail was thoughtfully designed to evoke the refined atmosphere of a five-star hotel. The headboard aligns with the height of the home office desk, offering both visual and functional continuity. A recessed channel in the desk keeps electrical wiring hidden, and materials like linen contrast beautifully with the wood, adding texture and dynamism to the space.
In the kitchen, custom metalwork solutions conceal a compact laundry area within a cabinet that can be completely hidden when not in use. Even the diameter of the dinner plates was measured to optimize storage space, reflecting the project’s meticulous attention to detail.
