Introduction
The Keystone House is a family house for a multi-generational family which aims to embrace the cohesiveness of the family members which is held by a common value system. Different people have different practices and outlooks in life but to glue together through happy as well as sad times is what you can call a family!
Exterior Design & Material
Various floors and other components are combined to form one cohesive unit. A fascinating interplay of volumes is produced by the interaction of levels and various terraces.
The mix of brick, stone, and a neutral color scheme creates a very natural concept with a contemporary aspect in the façade design.
Entrance Area
You are welcomed into the house by a large grand entrance. With ample of sunlight and greens in the area. A well-designed foyer area creates the first impression about your house. The foyer area sets the tone for the rest of your house. The magnificent space adorned with a dazzling chandelier and beautiful plants gives us a natural positive feeling while entering into the house.
Landscaping
The places where we go out with family are much more calm, less crowded and serene such as beaches, hills, resorts or retreats. The reason behind that is nature holds the power to calm you down and rejuvenate you.
To include nature into our design, there is a lot of greenery and organic farming happening in and around the house. It’s a wonderful way for families to connect and create cherished family memories. Spending time outdoors as a family is definitely more enjoyable than spending time inside. Public areas of the house overlook the well- landscaped gardens and terraces which please the eye and is a great way to have your own me time.
Terrace & Lounge Area
To complement this holistic way of living together, a large gathering space is created on the terrace with a landscaped garden where all the family members spend time together.
To experience such an outdoor experience where the sky seems high and the city sky line is visible, you instantly feel a sense of gratitude and gratification for all that you have. Addition of greenery with sitting makes a wholesome vibe to host a party with friends or enjoy your evening tea!
The wooden flooring and warm colour palette of the lounge area, along with brick cladding and a playful burst of colour for the counters, create a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. The ambiance in the lounge area is relaxed and enjoyable. It makes you want to unwind and spend time with your loved ones.
Exterior Lighting
The appropriate outdoor lighting can make or break the perfect mood or highlight the design characteristics of a home. It can be used for a variety of goals, including design, aesthetic, and safety, as well as plain visibility.
The terrace lighting makes the whole space look even more spectacular, and ensures that each lighting makes gives you a sense of comfort as well as proper visibility.
Adding murals and natural textures to the walls adds character and drama to an ordinary place. The moment someone enters to the terrace area, the play of textures, colors and lighting sets a mood to have a good time.
Conclusion
You might not have it all together, but together with your loved ones you can have it all! It was difficult to construct the Keystone House in a way that was both unified and unique. But one of the most exhilarating experiences of creativity comes at the end when all of your visions take physical form.
