The site was bottom of the river
This project contains three commercial facilities in the Kusutsu River Park.
The park is built after the Kusatsu River which was recently replaced by a new river.
The three structure has variations in size and each buildings has represented the shape of the traditional Japanese roof structure “Yoshi-buki”.
Very similar to the thatching methods in the west, Yoshi-buki roof structure uses dried local vegetation. The project is widely accepted by the local because it feels like traditional Japanese villages with combination of variation in building sizes and Yoshi-buki style roof structure.
