The purpose of the project was to convert a farmhouse property of Las Rozas Council, into a fun and educational camp for children and young people of the town, who is very near to Madrid.

To do this, the two dwellings, a garage and the changing room building for the existing pools, were refurbished to adapt them to the new uses: Dining halls, nature rooms, rooms for resting, a nursing station, offices storage, etc. Two new pools and playing fields were designed for children and young people, and a group of wood lodges was built to acommodate the young people during their camp activities, replacing the former roller skating ring.

All the infrastructures were integrated without affecting the wooded areas, wich remain intact, using wood, slate and natural stone to a great degree in the new buildings. In addition, areas that were bare of trees as a result of previous construction work, were replanted with the same species as already existed there.

This work was selected by the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) and included in the book and exposition : Madrid 100 % Arquitectura II, which compiles the best projects and works made by Madrid architects in the last years. The exposition is being now presented in different tows of the world.
