MWA Architecture developed a prototype hotel room for a project located on the island of Rhodes.
The design challenge was to incorporate local techniques and materials, respecting the spirit of the place and its traditions. As in nature, the beauty of the space is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.”

White tones, a calming atmosphere and the use of local materials evoke an immediate sense of summer.
Traditional plastering methods, handcrafted finishes and locally sourced stone were chosen to ground the space in its Mediterranean context. These elements not only reduce the environmental impact but also establish a deep connection with the island’s architectural heritage.
