“It was the early 1970s when two enlightened entrepreneurs, Franco Carbonari and Orlando Girombelli, founded a small clothing company in Filottrano, a trouser factory to be precise, where the seamstresses cut and sewed in a narrow back room. Orders and orders soon began to arrive from all over Italy and the business quickly became a real industry, the Orland, which changed the face of the small town."
Today, an ambitious project wants to transform it into the beating heart of the city and ensure that the mother of all Filottrano factories returns to producing fabrics, but this time social ones.
The identity of Lafabbrica therefore arises from the brand, inspired by the western façade of the building which is also the most visible and which clearly marks the entrance to the historic center from via Oberdan.
The idea is to open the building in drawers and let creativity permeate from the outside to the inside of the spaces and vice versa, thus creating gray scale bands which, upon entering the interior, enlarge and are colored to outline the various functions.
