The challenge in this project is dealing with an ambitious program requirement with the constraints of an extremely tight and deep site. In order to achieve a feeling of spaciousness and optimize the natural light condition, we create a series of nested arches, which gradually shrink in size and differ in materials. When looking from the streets, the arches enlarge the depth of view and form a focal point in perspective. When passing through, customers would explore multiple layers of spaces with different retail experiences. Diverse and playful, the experience orchestrated here is just like the journey in the wonderland.
