TOUCHING THE WATER IN BUTTERFLY BAY
The site is located next to a branch of the Min River. The aim of the masterplan is the exploit theproximity of water by connecting to as many buildings as possible. The main masterplanconcept is symbolised by a hand touching the water, each finger represents a tongue of land reachingtowards the river. Perpendicular to the tongue of land, the buildings directly face the water.
The parking of the total area is solved underground, making the streets between the villa’s lush green and car-free. On the street side the villas arethree floors high, and towards the water-side, the villas are four floors high.The architecture of the villas aims atoptimizing the different views over the water and the mountains onthe background. The shifting of the volumes creates a variety in outside spaces.The apartment towers and hotel each have their own specific architectural language.
