Lumas Edition

Lumas Edition

3deluxe as Architects

In 2009 LUMAS, a leading supplier of art, offering affordable editions both of established photographers and promising newcomers, expanded his portfolio for the very first time with artworks of contemporary architects. 3deluxe is one of only two offices invited by LUMAS to introduce a selection of their visionary architectural drafts as a limited edition onto the art market.

The first publication of the artworks designed by 3deluxe and Graft took place within the exhibition ‘Visionary Architecture’ (from 25-09 to 03-11-09 at LUMAS Berlin – Close to Ku’damm) and gained great public attention. Being available since the start of the exhibition, the 15 original artworks signed by 3deluxe come in a limited edition of 75 respectively 100 each; all motifs in two different sizes.

Apart from two series of large-sized architectural renderings, the 3deluxe edition also includes several sketch sheets with innumerable filigree details. Edited with the computer, these multi-layered collages of freehand sketches and digitally generated elements reveal the creative process from the very first idea up to the photorealistic visualisations of the final design. The 3D renderings of the series ‘Bergen’ and ‘Buildings’ impress with a flowing, organically inspired formal language, their rich colouring and absolute graphic perfection.
