Anderson Mikos was the architect on the Integrated Project Delivery Team for the new Heart Institute at Lutheran General Hospital.
The project consisted of 3 new Cath labs, 1 new EP lab and 1 future lab, with 20 recovery spaces complementing the labs. The patient experience from arrival to departure drove the entire design. The design team worked seamlessly with the Philips Ambient Experience team to develop a state-of-the-art center combining quality care, patient experience and satisfaction.
The project goals included integrated, fast track delivery, use of the client's Standard Room templates, enhancing the patient experience and improving patient and staff flows. The team used 3D design for all phases from design through construction.
