Malis Garden Hotel, Zell am Ziller

MEISSL ARCHITECTS as Architects

MEISSL Architects acted as local architect for the Green Spa Hotel Malis Garten by Matteo Thun. It all began with the grand vision of Christina Binder-Egger and Reinhard Binder: a hotel made entirely of wood. The experts at Binderholz Bausysteme GmbH then implemented the ideas in terms of structural engineering, while MEISSL Architekten coordinated all those involved and, despite the extremely short construction period, managed to complete the first five-storey hotel made entirely of solid wood just in time. "The flexibility in design, the short construction time and the ecological advantages signal a successful future for wood as a building material," says architect Alexander Meissl.
