4380m² of 40mm translucent panels in four differently coloured versions. The build-up of Matkus Shopping Centre in Kupio started in 2012 and the building was completed within 2013.

In total 4380m² of our 40mm thick translucent panels were used. Parts of the rainscreen cladding are glazed with crystal panels combined with opal panels. Other parts of the rainscreen were clad with the Decocolor version of our 40mm thick translucent building elements. The outer walls are coloured in silver and titane grey and the inner walls of the decocolor versions are in crystal.

Through the diverging alignment of the differently coloured panels a unique pattern combined with alternating RGB LED back lighting creates an impressive light effect. Matkus Shopping Centre accommodates 90 different shops and additionally a huge IKEA market. Restaurants and coffee shops invite people to stay for a rest. The shopping Centre, because of its high energy efficiency, is part of the Green Building program of the European Commission.
