On the Electraweg in Maassluis, we built a beautiful health center that provides space for general practitioners, dentists, a pharmacy and other health care providers.
Movement toward the entrance
The existing environment and the design of this rectangular mass required exceptional architectural design. Because the entrance is on the side of the property, our challenge was to make the entrance prominent from the front view of the property.
White blanket
We accomplished this by placing a white blanket over the massing. This blanket extends down the side of the property to the entrance. The movement in the canopy and the protruding entrance emphasize the side of the building. The contrast of the facade with its dark background, the white blanket and the wooden cladding give this building a strong appearance.
