A bit of Indochina mixed with Modernity in the heart of Saigon. The house is located in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with an area of 10 x 17.5 m.

The house from design to completion took 1 year, but for the homeowner himself, it was like a brainchild cherished for more than 10 years.

The design story of the house seems contrary to the design and construction process of a project.

The homeowner confided to the Architect that he has had a hobby of collecting furniture and decorations for 10 years. And his wish was to have a home to show off all his collectibles.

After receiving the homeowner's story, the Architect first came to see and feel the spirit of the furniture and decorations. To orient the style of the house that best suits the needs and preferences of the Homeowner.

The house is designed in a modern Indochina style with bold Vietnamese culture and life. Minimalist space combined with many green areas, fosters a home that feels quiet, warm but still comfortable and harmonious.

Taking advantage of the width of the land, the architect designs static space and dynamic space along the length of the land.

Approaching from outside is a yard combined with a lake and trees. On the left is the dynamic space (living room, kitchen, dining room, courtyard), on the right is the static space (including 2 bedrooms). Between the two dynamic and static spaces, stairs and a hallway are arranged, allowing the communication of flexible, intimate spaces while still maintaining the privacy of each family member.

The courtyard is both a relaxing outdoor green space and a space for connection and contact between family members.
