The house is located in District 7, City. Ho Chi Minh. Area 76m2 (4 x 18 m). Due to regulations on construction boundaries, the actual construction area of the house is 50m2. It is the home of a 3-generation family with 5 members.
With the family's need to have a warm space, connecting members with each other. The architect deliberately created a split-level space, both optimizing the area and shortening the connection between floors, connecting members together.
With the staircase arranged in the middle of the house, when members are in a private space or in the living space, they will be able to communicate with each other easily.
Light from the skylight comes through the stairs, easily bringing light into the spaces in the house.
The buffer spaces between rooms can also be used as common family living spaces. For example, the child's study corner and the parent's work corner are arranged in the hallway adjacent to the atrium, located between the child's room and the parent's room.
The house overlooks the park directly, so the Architects maximized visibility from the spaces in front of the house.
Create a house facade with 2 layers of doors. The inner layer is a large glass door system. The outer layer is vertical opening doors, made of compact hard plastic combined with CNC pattern cutting. While blocking direct light, it also creates aesthetics for the house.
The ingenuity in bringing light into the house through CNC slots, creating a changing effect like stars at night.
Only with the split-level method and the delicate treatment of the facade, creating airiness, harmony, and natural light in the house.
