Old, modern and experimentation find a new balance in this apartment in the city centre of Paris. The plot is tipically haussmannian, from the façade of the building until the inner setting of the house. Characters of the style “Bourgeois” are here exasperated, such as mouldings, the position of the parquet, the presence of the fireplace. Experimentation was expressed through the realization of a special covering for the stairs, made of wood, covered by wallpaper and then protected with resin. The pillar of the house, like a trunk, is in the heart of the living area, protected from a transparent case, showing proudly its layers of time.
