Situated in a prestigious, historic district of central Moscow, the home benefits from a rich architectural heritage. The neighborhood is known for its charming blend of old-world character and modern conveniences, offering proximity to cultural landmarks and serene escapes from the city’s hustle and bustle.
Originally built in the early 19th century, the residence underwent significant renovations later that century, resulting in its eclectic architectural style. The facade, a blend of classical and historic elements, was meticulously restored by the design team to honor the building's history.

"We aimed to preserve the architectural integrity of the exterior while completely reimagining the interior," says Inna Zavyalova founder of ADDburo. The facade reflects the elegant and timeless characteristics of the city's historic architecture. The project involved a full renovation and interior redesign, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary luxury.
The inspiration came from a mix of the building’s historic context, classical architecture, and contemporary European design trends. “We aimed to honor the past while welcoming modernity,” explains Inna Zavyalova.

The designer wanted to create an atmosphere of refined sophistication and calm. This was achieved through the use of a neutral color palette, luxurious materials, and carefully selected furnishings that combine comfort with style. The result is a space that feels both inviting and exclusive.

The artworks were selected with great care in collaboration with the homeowners, who are passionate art collectors. A delicate palette of soft neutrals, deep blues, and rich textures create a tranquil and stylish atmosphere. A combination of high-quality materials such as marble, brass, wood, and custom textiles was chosen for their durability, timeless appeal, and capacity to add warmth and texture.

Some of the key features in this home include custom-made bed nooks, the arched window in the bedroom, and the sofa nooks in the office. “By designing these elements in-house, we ensure each piece fits the architectural context and contributes to the aesthetic,” says Inna Zavyalova. “Whether it’s custom storage or intricate paneling, we blur the lines between form and function, tailoring each space to the client's needs with a consistent design language.”
One of the biggest challenges was balancing the preservation of the building’s historic elements with the introduction of contemporary design and modern amenities. The entire project took approximately 2 years to complete.
