Located at a noble neighborhood in Belo Horizonte, this Family chose not to face a huge rebrand, as they had already bought a bigger apartment, which would be ready three years from them. Considering that, we had the challenge of conceiving in the decoration timeless solutions, elegant and which could adapt to the future apartment as well, but, at the same time, create a pleasant and cozy environment in the present one. We chose to annex the terrace to the living room and just fulfill the rest of the floor with the one already settled in the living room. The solution given to diminish the difference between stone tonalities was the Tibetan carpet.
The opening of terrace has created a spacious and integrated environment, where you can find a living room, a TV room, a dining room, and a bar. We focused on the combination of warm colors like caramels, browns and yellows, balancing with various tones of gray. The furniture has been choose given timelessness and elegance, like the Tião and Cantu chair, both designed by Sérgio Rodrigues, respectively for the bar and the dining room. The Verônica chair by Jorge Zalszupin, and the Vila Rica cabinet were produced by Etel Interiors. The Crown Minor lamp is a retro interpretation of the old chandeliers for candles, so popular in the neoclassical period, designed by young german designers Jürgen Laub and Markus Jehs, supplied by La Lampe. The Tibetan carpet, supplied by Marie Camille, has a timeless geometric draw.
On the couple’s bedroom, we continued with the same philosophy, using furniture that kept seducing by the pass of time, with Artefato’s bed, designed by the architect, jatobá bookshelf and Pencil stool fabricated by Etel interiors. The color combination of the bedroom aims for tranquility and rest.
At the son’s bedroom, the idea was not only to use colors from his favorite soccer team, but also to use colors from the same pallet, like gray and some blue. The bed designed by the architect is suspended and works as a big chaise. The cabinet, in black painting and steel structure, has a embed drawer. The work desk, on the other hand, has a loose set of drawers and a suspended shelf that makes the room clearer. The suspended cabinet functions as object storage.
