The apartment design, which extends about 400 square meters - a kind of of villa inside a building on Muntaner Street in Barcelona, allows a glimpse into the family home full of color, history, and a fascinating personal story that can be experienced through a home tour and looking at each of the objects and art details they have collected over the years.
The music room-
One of the apartment owner's greatest love, as well as his professional occupation, is high-end audio systems. Music has a large presence in the family's daily life. It was important to give the proper stage containing all the systems and the many record collections to create a space that invites you to sit with lighting that will enhance the exact atmosphere for the experience of sitting in a comfortable armchair for pure listening of the music. With a lot of thought about choosing the right location for this room, this special space was chosen for the music room. The space that precedes the living room is so that everyone who enters to linger experiences one of the most prominent and important characteristics of the members of the house. The room, which itself is almost the size of the living room, was chosen to be in a deep green shade with pictures of respected figures from the world of music.
The art-
The art pieces comes from different content worlds that also differ between the couple. Combinations of images, music, modern art and African elements are the ones that pour the content into this very unique house, when moving through it sometimes feels like a tour of a museum, discovering more and more items collected over the years and telling the story of the family. Each item was given its own stage and family honor.
Lighting -
As a family that loves intimate and relaxing lighting, most of the lighting fixtures in the house were chosen to be Santa and Cole, Flos, Louis Poulsen, Vibia and Giancarlo Fassina stationary, single fixtures.
The dining room-
The large dining space and the love for home hospitality required a large and impressive dining table. When emphasis was placed on materiality that would add another layer to materiality, a table by B&B Italia with black metal legs and a glass surface - in one unit, which was combined with antique wooden chairs that were a gift from the parents, found the balance with a black and modern bench, together enhancing the recurring discourse In all the elements in the house, between the warm wood and the modern black.
The living room-
The colorful space in the right dose, maintains a harmony that is inviting and pleasing to the eye.
A velvet blue sofa is not afraid of being the center of the space in her presence; next to it placed brown leather armchairs and colorful stools.
The wall decorations and the grey shade of the walls as a basis for the hanging beliefs, together with the original wooden jambs and the natural parquet floor, produce a frame that captures within it and integrates all the furniture in several additional layers, making the design unique.
