Noir hairsalon

Noir hairdressers opened in the very heart of Moscow, next to Mayakovskaya Metro Station, in December 2014. It nestles in a small semi-basement of a residential house built for conservatory stuff in the mid- 1930s.

The place has just two small spaces for clients: one is the waiting hall and the other - workroom. The colour gamut of the interior is discreet: the podium with chairs along the mirror wall is pristine white, the floor and walls on the sides of the podium deep black, the ceiling just naked concrete and the wall across from the mirror dusty blue. Narrow horizontal niches with mirror background behind the hairdresser’s chairs and the cashier desk and the elongated concrete bench in the workroom.

NOIR spokesmen say that design is industrial and stress its affinity with the aesthetics of the Bohemian Berlin: they associate that primarily with concrete, stone tiles, graphite paint, metal components and light fixtures.
