In the heart of a serene neighbourhood lies a majestic edifice, a quintessence of timeless grandeur and refined taste. Welcome to the epitome of luxury living – a sprawling 5-bedroom house adorned in the resplendent Neo-Classical style, yet somehow minimal in its aesthetic.
As you step through the modest lobby, you're immediately transported into a realm of opulence. The vast expanse of the living room unfolds before you, bathed in natural light streaming through the large windows. Neo-Classical details bookended with fluted storages form a uniform backdrop, casting an aura of sophistication and grace. The fusion of classic elegance with contemporary comfort is evident in every facet of this abode.
The living and dining areas seamlessly merge, creating an expansive space for both relaxation and entertainment. Elegant white accents dominate the décor, accentuated by the subtle interplay of textures. Soft white boucle sofas juxtapose with deep green corduroy, creating a harmonious visual symphony. The colour palette, boasting tones of deep greens and blues, adds depth and vibrancy to the generous whites, creating a captivating ambiance.
At the heart of the dining area sits a grand table, accommodating up to eight guests with ease. Flanked by storage units on one side and a ledge of royal blue on the other, it exudes a sense of regal splendour. Here, every meal becomes an enjoyable experience, surrounded by the timeless beauty and verdant views.
Venturing further into the house, one discovers the sanctuaries of its inhabitants – five bedrooms, each meticulously designed to reflect both comfort and individuality. Vaastu compliant and thoughtfully curated, these private retreats offer a glimpse into the personalities of their occupants.
An interim space awaits in what was once a bedroom, now transformed into a family room. Here, a blend of black and wood accents creates an ambiance that is both sombre and breezy, perfect for work or play.
The master bedroom exudes an air of refined luxury, with a wash of beige and brass accents adorning its every corner. Mature details and plush furnishings create a haven of tranquillity and indulgence.
The elder son's bedroom embraces a playful modernity, with black and white accents dominating the space. Meanwhile, the younger son's room is a testament to masculine youth, with hues of grey, black, and blue.
For the daughter, a rich blush accent infuses her bedroom with warmth and charm. Thoughtfully utilized, this cozy space features a central study table and a bed abutting the window, offering a perfect blend of functionality and comfort.
The major challenge of the project was to rearrange the furniture directions within all the rooms so that the project was Vaastu complaint. The major shifting and re-shifting of the interiors made the furniture placement a rather challenging task. Another challenge was to make the house feel homely despite the heavy use of neoclassical elements. The design thus catered to this requirement by setting dark and rich colours against a mostly white canvas.
Throughout the house there was an active thought lent to maximising the storage. A functional requirement of all Indian homes, the storage has been incorporated throughout the house sometimes getting camouflaged in the panelling as in the living area whereas sometimes taking the centre stage like in the entertainment area.
In this Neo-Classical minimal haven, every corner tells a story of timeless elegance and bespoke luxury. From the grandeur of the living room to the intimacy of the bedrooms, this residence is a testament to the enduring allure of classical design infused with contemporary flair.
