The headquarters of ÖWG/ÖWGes has established itself on Moserhofgasse in Graz and stands out as a distinctive landmark in the city’s public space. The striking glass front building, with its cantilevered, floating tubular-frame facade and generously open courtyards, combined with its innovative lighting technology, creates a unique selling point for the company.

To further enhance the appeal of the ÖWG/ÖWGes brand, the company seized the unique opportunity to acquire the property directly across from its headquarters. This forward-thinking decision opens up the architectural possibility of designing a complementary counterpart—a concept unique to Graz.

With a similar projecting façade solution, adapted lighting design for the public space, and the same color scheme for the building structures, the building’s distinctiveness and sense of unity are emphasized, and the design approach of its counterpart is further interpreted. This project creates a striking, recognizable gateway in the Jakomini cityscape.

The floor plan of the new building is clearly structured. The first two floors are used as office space and are currently leased. The next two floors serve as residential space. The courtyard design has been expanded to include terraces adjacent to the office space; communal garden areas with attractive trees—both existing and newly planted—provide ample shade and invite residents to relax in the greenery.
