The surroundings formed the starting point for the design. The building is located at a busy traffic junction on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. This location, at the intersection of several major access roads, makes the building a beacon that will increase the recognisability of its surroundings. Each façade has a fascinating relationship with the surroundings. The building provides co-working spaces with a number of separate and communal workplaces. On the second floor, there are meeting rooms with terraces all around. The views here are focused as much as possible on the surroundings. The recessed floor provides a 360-degree view of the surroundings, on the border between the village centre and the countryside, between Belgium and the Netherlands.

The building is characterised by rather horizontal lines, with continuous ribbon windows offering a panoramic view of the surroundings. For the façade sections between the windows, we looked for a light façade cladding that could be easily installed. The façade finish with profiled steel sheets creates ever-changing impressions for passers-by due to the varying incidence of light and responds to the dynamics of the surroundings. This type of façade cladding eliminates the need for expensive façade supports. The sheets could be easily attached to the underlying structure. The façade cladding could be installed seamlessly, allowing for beautiful detailing.
