The O_LIVE project lives among olive trees in  N. Marmaras of Chalkidiki and it is developed on a sloping plot overlooking the Toroneos gulf.

It is a complex of three two-story houses of 1.500 sq.m. on a plot of land with a total area of 4687.50 sq.m.

Τhe design emphases on the outdoor living and the concept of the design is based on highlighting the existing natural landscape with the harmonious integration of the residential units into it. 

The building volumes stand on the rocky ground like towers gazing at the sea.

The design suggests the unobstructed view of the houses towards the sea and the shaping of the building volumes with both traditional and modern elements.

On the ground floor there is the living area, the kitchen and a small wc. On the first floor there is the main masterbedroom and the wet areas while in the basement there is another bedroom with a small living room, a bathroom and utility rooms.

The outdoor space of each residence includes the linear pool and the pool area, sheltered areas  for cooking and dining, outdoor living corners as well as free spaces for playing and relaxing.

The privacy of each residence is ensured by the altitude difference of the plot , with the proposed intermediate plantings as well as with configuration walls and perforated dividers.

Local stone, solid wood, exposed concrete and metal structures are the main materials for both the exterior and interior design.

The building volumes as well as the retaining walls that define the boundaries of each residence, are covered with local stone. 

The interior wooden floor extends to the exterior as well. The use of folding frames in the living room allow the visual integration with the outdoor space and at the same time allow the extension of indoor living to the outdoors.

Both the interior and exterior false ceilings are from solid wood.  Wood is also the chosen material for the window frames and the interior furnishing.

Metal constructions and details both in the exterior and interior design give a more modern character to the complex.

The wooden roof of each residence remains visible inside the first floor. The skylight in the roof illuminates the internal staircase and allows light to reach the basement level.

In the basement bedroom, the underwater window allows the light to enter the interior and offers an impressive and relaxing image to the user.
