A foremost AEC company in Southeast Asia, the stakeholdersat ONG&ONG had one objective in renovating theirSingapore office: evolve the workspace for the people within.
It epitomises an office with a disruptive mindset.To realise greater agility in sync with the latest technologies,the new office melds all disciplines, promoting seamless workprocesses. This, in turn, improves the functionality of theworkspaces, fostering greater collaboration with long sharedtables for hot-desking.
Prior to the renovation, SCA Design worked cohesively toanalyse each discipline’s modus operandi. The resulting openworkspace eschews traditional concepts of an office, reflectinginstead the interconnectedness of an ecosystem. A series ofmeeting rooms allows some privacy for discussions,and there are dedicated Building InformationModelling (BIM) areas on levels 10 and 11.
An hotelier’s take on a lifestyle-infused office,IMMORTAL curated the names of the levels toreflect the different interests on each floor - Bar9to represent a bar concept and for event space,10dem for the wordplay of ‘tandem’ and for leisureactivities, while District 11 positions itself as aluxurious hotel lobby to receive g`uests; completewith a Living Room and Front Desk.
Textured walls line the staircase connecting allthree floors, and washrooms sport thematic wallpanels that enliven the high traffic area. Overhead,the ceiling services’ exoskeleton is left exposed fora non-claustrophobic feel, while suspended LEDluminaires and downward pendants supplygeneral illumination.
The office’s warm but modern style called forblack and white furnishings complemented bysplashes of the company’s corporate orange. Alongthe perimeter, a continuous line of windows offersa panoramic hilltop view, allowing natural light topermeate the interior.
