Paste Dental

A boutique, high-tech dental practice with a luxury, hospitality-inspired approach to wellness in close proximity to Toronto’s vibrant fashion and entertainment districts. Referencing the neighbourhood’s many luxury hotel lounges, the rich palette of finishes and thoughtful spatial planning creates an immersive environment, which separates the patient from both the clinical experience and the bustle of the city.

The addition of Limestone clad interior walls form a visual barrier from the streetscape and a sense of privacy within. This element facilitates the unexpected, faceted, circular form of the lobby, which creates a unique and welcoming reception. A bold, colourful floor pattern of mixed natural stones confidently grounds the space, while warm burl wood and plush mohair walls add texture, depth and warmth with an air of opulent indulgence in which to feel relaxed and pampered.

The timeless lobby area features a sculptural burl-wood welcome desk, a feature central, oversized, yet light and airy Japanese paper tiered pendant light and two individual booth seats, recessed, full height into the upholstered lobby walls, in a contrasting, striking gold velvet, offering a private moment upon arrival.

A gently curved, wood lined corridor, continuing the burled wood finish and marble floor pattern, connects the lobby lounge to the treatment and consultation areas, with softly glowing low-level wall sconces to guide the guest seamlessly through the space.

Warm wood, marbles and soft lighting again feature in each treatment room, where oversized doors conceal the operatory counter & equipment, further detaching the patient from the clinical practice.  A custom marble vanity with integrated sink is anchored by oak panelling, an oversized mirror and soft, glowing lighting which all converge to elevate the patient experience.

A further intimate sitting area features lower-level velvet upholstered walls and upper wood panelling, along with a curated, lounge-inspired furniture selection for consultations and relaxed refreshment, again removing the guest from the clinical experience and instead providing a welcoming interior for a new dental experience with wellness as the focus.
