Franken Architekten was commissioned to design a pop-up concept around sparkling wine for the renowned Austrian company Schlumberger, based in Vienna. Schlumberger is the first producer of sparkling wine after the méthodetraditionnelle in Austria. In October 2017, "Perlwerk by Schlumberger" opened the first pop-up in Munich.
The design leitmotiv of the Viennese bar and café concept are foam beads, balls, bubbles in warm, glittery gold and mother-of-pearl tones. The cellular structure of foam bubbles is based on the so-called Voronoi structure. The shape of the freestanding 360 ° bar, the floor graphics and the retail shelf elements, which are harmoniously connected by the cellular connection, derive from this. The Thonet Interior forms the classical counterpart to the asymmetrically triangulated surface of the Voronoi design. The optical highlight is the bubble installation in the window area.
