The main building accommodating PricewaterhouseCoopers in Almere is located on the far south side of the business park known as the Gooise Poort. Running parallel to the A6 motorway, three and five-storey elongated volumes were constructed within cramped building lines. A black masonry beam connects five copper clad, wedge-shaped volumes. The latter, conspicuously rounded and pointing in the direction of the motorway, strongly determine the character of the building. In conjunction with the need for transparency, the beam was raised to the level of the first storey. The first storey has a 3,6m width corridor, which connects two large restaurants, a library and meeting rooms
