Inspired by the codes of a Parisian flat, Printemps New York is a bold interpretation of the interaction between Printemps' 160-year history, the architectural and decorative richness of the Parisian phare shop and One Wall Street, and the inimitable style of Laura Gonzalez, who has succeeded in creating a subtle dialogue between the two capitals.
Laura Gonzalez has transformed classic materials, while developing new ones. She has also designed the shop's furniture using entirely recycled materials.
An immersive sneaker room, an unusual bookshop typically inspired by 1930s New York, a make-up and beauty area built just like a real bathroom, and a completely revamped Red Room make up this one-of-a-kind project, located at One Wall Street.
To bring this colossal project to fruition, architect Laura Gonzalez teamed up with some of her finest collaborators, including a fresco painted by hand by Atelier Roma, origami gold doves by Charles Kaisin, a white ceramic bar by William Coggin, a carpet by Mary Mary and stained glass windows by Pierre Marie.
