Private garage

This warehouse was built in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. However, it is unlike conventional warehouses.

In a conventional warehouse, objects are simply carried and moved by people. In this space, however, the intention is for objects and people to interact and develop relationships within the same environment, gradually creating a unique value over time.

As time passes, more and more objects accumulate in the warehouse. Each of these is not merely an object, but something of great personal significance. As these objects increase in number and become scattered throughout the interior in complex arrangements, the space itself grows richer and more compelling.

Supporting this evolving space is an exceptionally robust structure. The concrete walls are more than 50 centimeters thick, while the roof structure consists of timber beams over one meter deep, assembled into a three-dimensional lattice.

Within this powerful structural framework, the owner gradually constructs and transforms the space over time.
