The project began with a comprehensive reconfiguration of the existing layout. The kitchen was opened to the living area to create a continuous social space, while two bedrooms were combined to form a generous and adaptable room for the daughters. Each intervention was guided by the ambition to create a home that feels more open, connected and responsive to the family's evolving needs.

Rather than relying on an extensive material palette, the interiors are defined by simplicity and precision. Large-format satin-finish flooring was carefully selected to minimise unwanted reflections and establish visual continuity, while a restrained composition of white, soft greys and warm brown accents allows light, proportion and texture to become the defining architectural elements. Layered lighting, including more than 300 integrated ceiling lights, creates a subtle ambience that transforms the character of the home from day to evening.

A handcrafted carved silver mandir from Udaipur forms the emotional heart of the residence. Integrated into the living space rather than enclosed as a separate room, it is framed by bronzed mirrored surfaces and warm lighting, creating a quiet dialogue between tradition and contemporary living.

Every space has been carefully tailored to its occupants. The daughters' room incorporates curved switchable glass, bespoke furniture and a concealed Murphy bed for visiting family, while the master suite extends its architectural language into the bathroom through smart glass, custom detailing and a restrained material palette. A concealed mirror door discreetly integrates the utility area, preserving the visual clarity of the interiors.

Automation is discreetly integrated throughout the residence, controlling lighting, curtains and blinds while preserving the calm visual character of the home. Rather than relying on decorative excess, the project finds its identity through thoughtful planning, carefully resolved details and a restrained material palette. The result is a residence where architecture and interiors work together as a unified whole—balancing functionality with warmth, innovation with simplicity, and contemporary living with a timeless sense of home.
