The B.E. project, located in Apucarana - Paraná, has 217m² and is signed by the architects Maira Rossi and Karen Felix, from the archi.lab office. The apartment is in the same building where the professionals built the common and access areas, in addition to the decorated model apartment.
The clients, a young couple, have a pet cat, and many of the project's requests and solutions were thought of for them, from easy-care and durable materials, such as the pet-friendly fabric on the sofa, pendants to the dining room that were difficult to access. to prevent it from being used as a playground and even the curtains in the living room, roller model.
The project did not require changes to the layout of the builder's original floor plan, as the social area comprised an integrated living, dining and gourmet area. The objective of the architects in this area was to create a proposal in which these three environments communicated simultaneously. The decor was designed to have few objects, noise-free spaces and be practical for everyday life with the kitten, who likes to explore every corner of the house. The functional kitchen was kept separate to isolate noise and odors, in addition to keeping the daily look separate from the social area.
The base palette of the apartment has shades of gray and details in black, which highlight the beauty of the green explored in fabrics, objects, furniture and plants, which make up the landscaping. On the shelf, a curation of works of art and ceramic objects make up the proposal for an inviting and contemplative environment. Each piece was chosen by the architects, together with the clients, to ensure that they made sense to the couple, and not just decorative.
The wood occasionally used in laminated panels and as a highlight in the gourmet island brought the necessary balance to the gray base of the palette. Porcelain slabs reminiscent of the textures of natural stones (Pietra Lombarda, Portobello and Ms Barcelona Acero, Portobello) line the bottoms of decorative niches, and the large pillar that divides the dining area and the gourmet barbecue area brings new textures to the material proposal. . All countertops, both in the social area and in the bathrooms, were executed in Neolith, following the same color pattern as the project.
The gourmet area received a solid wood island countertop, a special request from the client, which was integrated with the neutral tones and at the same time provided a dynamic and fully integrated interaction between the two areas, the living room which works more on a day-to-day basis and the veranda which works on days when the barbecue is the protagonist. The identity of each space is built through details like this one, a piece with history and furniture that accompanies the family.
In the intimate room, works by artist Marilene Zancchett create the atmosphere of transition between the social and intimate areas. The canvases chosen by the clients bring individual characteristics and simple, minimalist, elegant and current figurative readings, inspired by urban centers.
On the shelves and niches, a curatorship of works of art and ceramic objects make up the proposal for an inviting and contemplative environment.
For the architects, returning to the building to carry out this apartment project was a gift, an architectural exercise that affected the way of looking at the space and experiencing each process, with the opportunity to look at the work from the inside out: from the user's point of view.
