Casa Jasmim was born from a genuine desire: that of a family with three children seeking an urban refuge that could unite warmth, togetherness, and functionality.

The starting point was a sloping site with a four-meter drop and an extensive program

including five suites. The challenge was to enhance the architecture by expanding spaces in a sensitive and coherent way. At first glance, it appears to be a single-story house, but upon entering, it unfolds across three levels: private areas above, social areas on the ground floor integrated with leisure spaces, and garage and service areas below. With a focus on intelligent adaptation to the sloped terrain, the house sits lightly on the ground, minimizing earthwork, retaining walls, and direct contact with the soil — establishing a direct relationship with nature.

Formally, the architecture of Casa Jasmim presents itself as a pure volume defined by

horizontal lines and the strong presence of exposed wood on the ceiling and deck that

surrounds the house. Large glass panels create a direct connection between the interior

spaces and the landscape, allowing for a fluid experience between indoors and outdoors. Generous eaves provide passive shading and protect openings, reinforcing the contemporary language of the project.

Inside, the floor plan is organized along a longitudinal axis that clearly distributes the

environments. The social area — living, kitchen, and dining — is fully integrated, extending visually and physically toward the veranda and the infinity-edge pool deck, functioning as a space for transition and contemplation. The kitchen — both functional and emotional — finds its heart in the island, where days begin with coffee and unhurried conversations.

The pergola covering the veranda echoes the rhythm of the wooden slats on the façade,

weaving patterns of light and shadow that shift throughout the day, transforming the

atmosphere. Also shaped by light, the vertical circulation connecting the three levels

deserves mention: floating wooden steps, anchored on only one side to a stone wall, form a sculptural pathway that allows light to pass through. Vertical brise-soleils compose the façade, filtering sunlight through the glass panels while ensuring privacy for the bedrooms.

Casa Jasmim is not limited to fulfilling a function — it invites its inhabitants to live with pause and contemplation. More than a shelter, it is an architectural narrative that translates the rhythms of life into sensitive and welcoming spaces.
