Located in the heart of Westwood, The Remington building is one of the most sophisticated residential high rises along Los Angeles’ Wilshire Corridor. Each of the private condominiums have direct elevator access to a private foyer, as well as expansive views across the city.

Bob Bookman, a former CAA agent turned film and television producer, and his interior designer wife Debbie Wambach asked Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects to re-envision their existing condominium. Together with Wambach, EYRC’s Residential Studio Director and Partner Takashi Yanai and his team imagined an elegant and sophisticated materials palette with an open floor plan that would take full advantage of the views while also highlighting the homeowners’ exclusive art collection.

By removing all existing walls in the main living area, the open floor plan allowed for unobstructed views from the moment you enter the residence. The 3,277 sf layout includes 2 bedrooms, an office, living and dining area and 3.5 baths. The kitchen, which is fully enveloped by sandstone and washed by linear cove light, stands as the centerpiece of the residence. The minimalist aesthetic and design is enhanced by a light color palette and all natural finishes, including sandstone, soapstone, marble, and white oak. Light fixtures are few and thoughtfully positioned to showcase the artwork throughout the home.
