Located near the Bibliothèque de France on the outskirts of Paris, this student housing project with 68 units is discreetly set behind a listed early 20th-century house. Clad in perforated aluminum over raw concrete, the building resembles a stack of containers.

Its rare typology features a depth of over 26 meters—comparable to Le Corbusier’s Cité Radieuse—allowing for compact yet highly optimized units. Each room, just 23 m², is organized with a central wet core separating the space into two zones: a night area lit by secondary light and a day area opening onto a deep balcony. Despite its size, the layout resembles a two-room apartment.

Balconies vary by floor, giving each unit a unique character and modulating daylight. Inside, raw concrete walls and ceilings reflect a brutalist aesthetic, softened by Skyros marble in bathrooms and solid oak flooring in living areas.
