Respira!

Consalez Rossi Architetti Associati as Architects

On the occasion of the exhibition “Paesaggi mirati” (“Aimed landscapes”) in the context of the 8th edition of Studi Aperti Arts Festival (Open Studios Arts Festival), 6-8 July 2012, Ameno (Novara – Italy) - www.studiaperti.it, Consalez Rossi architecture office has produced an exhibition on the topic “Diffused Museum. Across art and design” addressed to architects, artists and designers, in continuity with the previous editions.

Respira ! (Breath! Design and technology come together to enliven a historic building.

The gazebo of the gothic park of Tornelli Palace becomes a large diaphragm, which marks the rhythm of time. The breath is the pace of the osmosis between the belly of the building and the landscape.

A diaphragm made of spinnaker’s sails and two machines for air treatment (ATU) transform a building, a mid-19th century pavilion of delight, into a contemporary exhibition able to radically change the perception of place.

The porch is separated by a polystyrene wall, which splits the inner space into a technical compartment, which houses the machines, and a sealed chamber where air rhythmically inflates the sails.

A project by Consalez Rossi Associated Architects with Camilla Vecchi.
