REX House

The renovation project for the graphic design office Casa REX, located on Barão de Tatuí Street, is divided into two rooms, based on an original space that was separated by a circulation and service core.

The project aims to integrate these two spaces—first, through the physical demolition of the walls and doors that separated them, and second, through the furniture, creating a physical and visual connection between the rooms.

Between the two main areas, facing the staircase that gives access to the space, there is a display frame, whose doors and shelves form a showcase where the studio’s graphic material is exhibited.

The furniture, entirely made of marine plywood, defines and enhances the new spaces through partitions, cabinets, and work tables. All of them are connected by a shelf that runs throughout the space, also functioning as a lighting trough.
