In a building inserted in the center of the city and also designed by the office, the interior design of the RR apartment starts from the standard plan delivered by the construction company to adapt it to the needs of the future resident. 51m² are divided into social area, services and a circulation axis that leads to two bedrooms and a bathroom.
In the spaces, there are tones that range from black on the laminate floor and part of the joinery, to the gray of the walls and ceiling, passing through the Paraná white marble that punctuates the kitchen and the dining table top. The chosen materials seek to reproduce a uniform and welcoming aesthetic, considering the resident's request.
The social area serves, in the same space, the living room, dining room and kitchen. The curved sofa allows a visual connection with the dining table, favoring the relationships between users. The laundry room is isolated from the kitchen by a panel door integrated with the joinery which, when opened, allows pleasant ventilation and lighting to the space.
The circulation, which connects the social area to the intimate area, houses a closet that takes on the function of clothes for the entire apartment. This closet was divided into five parts, one of which was designed to house bedding and towels. Covered with a smoked mirror, the cabinet doors seek, in a subtle way, to mimic the grayish tone of the walls and ceiling.
The bathroom is torn by an opening that fills the space with light. The walls have the same color applied in the other spaces, seeking a connection between all. A large mirror gives depth and bounces the light of sunny afternoons that draws on the walls.
In the master bedroom, only the bed and the side supports contribute to a clear and fluid circulation. The TV was built into a niche in the masonry, which helps in the search for clean aesthetics when entering the room.
Complementing the project, the objects distributed throughout the spaces are part of the resident's memory. They were brought in from trips or are memories of people close to them. We believe that the house is built over time, so we think on a neutral and solid basis for this to happen.
