MATAI Associates as Architects

The intent was to create a modern, lavish, large in scale spaces integrating outdoors and indoors visually and physically with easy access to the landscape and green area.

The house has been designed in a manner to have an intimate, yet large obstruction free space for easy movement.

The strategy was to have maximum large openings in the north keeping in mind the climate and ensuring privacy at the same time.

The floating staircase above the water body overlooking the large green expanse is a key feature in the house creating a collage of visual experience even in the circulation spaces.

As the owners were a young couple with a very modern outlook and taste, we have created a modern language with appropriate use of material and technology instead of getting caught up in vernacular styles.

Proper cross ventilation, panoramic corner windows, double height public spaces, integrating the landscape with in the house are few of the features that add an unparalleled experience living in this house.
