SEK SCHOOL MAKE ITS IMPROVEMENTS REGARDING ARCHITECT TERESA SAPEY’S EXPERIENCE

Ciudalcampo SEK school was founded in 1975, as a natural expansion of the SEK institution and a response to its high criteria of quality and efficiency. An Educational Community that promotes the development of skills that guarantee a relevant, global, international, and meaningful learning, aimed at achieving the full development of each member’s potential to face the challenges of the 21st Century.

Our vision is to train people with an international mentality, with a passion for learning and commitment to excellence, who are happy and accomplished citizens, to contribute to the creation of a better world.

!In 2011, the school decided to make some improvements in its installations with the international recognized architect Teresa Sapey and her Studio’s Team, whose aim is to develop projects from emotions and feelings, and produce results which can convey them to the users just as they were felt by the team.

Regarding these convictions, Teresa Sapey tackled this project. The result is a colorful and bright space designed for children. Its halls are full of forms and color. Its white walls have been painted with green circles and filled with yellow railings, giving them a casual touch. Its library, painted as well in green in yellow shades, Teresa has conceived a space with round tables and benches. A very bright room equipped with large windows and green spherical lamps where children may share their reading impressions.

SEK Net Café is set in a very bright space, decorated with glass coffee tables combined with black and white barrel-shaped stools. Plasma screens and some computers end up with the fill-in of this room, where students may search for further information for its subjects. Inspiring drawings all over the walls, bright rooms equipped with the last technology and the newest ideas on design, SEK improvements have produced spaces that communicate ideas clearly.
